A 2002 Study in Florida called "Trends in Transfer of Juveniles to Adult Criminal Court" explains the following: "Strengthening specialized treatment and deep-end capacity by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice is showing positive results. Researchers have recently completed a 5-year study, summarizing the results in Juvenile Transfer to Criminal Court Study: Final Report. The researchers found that youth who receive sanctions and rehabilitation in Florida's juvenile justice system have a lower rate of recidivism than their counterparts who are transferred to adult criminal court. The group reported that when the youth did recidivate, those transferred to the adult system committed more felony offenses."

This is an interesting study by  Hallet.  I wonder though, how long will it take to be heard and understood by the people, the public, and the politicians.  I see some big names as signatures but will they make this issue important. It is important all over the U.S. Not just in Florida.  We need to change our "prison" mentality.  We should be better than this.

 My son just sat with me and watched this video below.  What an awesome concept. What an awesome fight.  The only way to make a change is to make the issue known. 

We need a focus plan.  You'll know what I mean when you watch this video.
