James Prindle is a 15-year-old kid who is being railroaded by Memphis TN authorities for a sex crime he did not commit. The amount of secrecy surrounding this case, and blatant examples of official cover-up, convince us that James is being sacrificed because some of the other young people in this case are involved in activity—possibly child porn or sex trafficking—that the authorities do not want exposed at this time.

Wack-a-mole 25/10/2011

http://wandervogeldiary.wordpress.com/2011/10/25/wack-a-mole/

James Prindle’s situation is a good case in point. One of the most potentially damaging aspects of his case is that his parents have abandoned James to the wolves. This creates the impression that his parents think he is guilty. In the absence of any incriminating evidence whatsoever, their abandonment is the sole thing the prosecution has available to use to frame James for the rape and convince a credulous jury that he should be punished for it.

Yet, thanks to our publicity, his mother reached out to us through the Diary and stated, “I have always had my doubts.” (Unfortunately, she has still not mustered the moral courage to defy her abusive, drug-dealing husband and stand by her son.)

Thanks to our publicity, one of James’ cousins on his father’s side of the family has begun writing to him and has told us, “The James I knew loved family above all else. He is not capable of committing such a crime. He would not do that to his sister, or anyone else. He does not have the mindset to do that.”

Thanks to our publicity, James’ paternal grandparents have begun visiting him. James has said his grandparents believe he is innocent.  They told him, “We know you’re not lying about this. We see your sincerity and know in our hearts that you didn’t rape your sister.”

Because of publicity, a boy who had been abandoned by his entire family is now learning that he is not as alone as he once believed. Because of publicity, we are raising the money we need to bring a skilled and experienced attorney to his defense. Because of this new dynamic, his attorney is providing the information we need to build a greater base of support for an innocent child who would otherwise have been offered up as an expedient sacrifice.

(Oh yes… those banker boxes full of the state’s “evidence” against James? His lawyer has gone through everything, and he tells us there is not a single shred of evidence supporting the state’s case. James Prindle is absolutely innocent as we have been saying all along.)

Now we need to get the media in Memphis asking the questions that were not asked in Pennsylvania: how can an honest system justify the wrongful prosecution—the callous persecution—of a child who should be protected in a civilized society?

We have still not met our monthly goal for James’ legal defense—we are still $1,200 short. Will you please consider making a gift at this time through PayPal and direct it to info-at-wandervogel-dot-com?

With your help we will succeed in pursuing a better way to achieving justice for James and other kids who are being failed by those who should be protecting them.

An update on Mommy dearest about James.

http://wandervogeldiary.wordpress.com/2012/05/23/mommy-dearest/

Quote
(postscript)

May 28th – We have just received disturbing news that James has been beaten up in jail. He has a black eye, his eyes are bloodshot, and he was shaking uncontrollably while being visited this morning by our friend-on-the-ground in Memphis. He wouldn’t tell our friend what had happened to him, only that “I want to talk to Stephen.” We are awaiting a call from him, and I will report what we learn when we learn it.

Monica, is this what you want for your son? It will only get worse.

May 28th (evening) – Stephen has called to say he heard from James and, although James was pummeled pretty severely and has sustained  injuries, he was feeling pretty good at the end of the phone call and was even laughing at Stephen’s terrible jokes.

Here is what happened… a group of 15-20 inmates decided to create some chaos in the jail by stuffing the toilets with toilet paper to make them overflow. Somehow James has developed a work ethic which causes him to clean things in the pod, just to have something to do. He will sometimes go into the showers and scrub them without being told.

His jailors love James’ initiative, but today when James cleaned up the flooded bathroom, his fellow inmates did not. After all, he was undoing the disruption these inmates had created on purpose, and the inmates interpreted it as an affront to them. So James was jumped and beaten by about four of five of them.

The guards felt sorry for James and sent out for a special fast food meal for him which consisted of biscuits and gravy, cole slaw, Mountain Dew–just the kind of thing a Southern boy would consider “comfort food.” The guards placed James in a holding cell so James could eat his meal in peace and without further harrassment. James said the meal was so good, it was almost worth getting beat up for.

James survived the attack and his wounds will probably heal in time for the trial. But here is the important point: James clearly does not understand the upside-down world of prison where what is bad on the outside is good inside the bars, and what is good on the outside (like exercising initiative and cleaning up a mess) is bad inside the bars.

If James is imprisoned in an adult prison for a sex crime on a child (which he did not commit), James will be eaten alive by the inmates. He is a small and sensitive boy, and so vulnerable that his lawyer confirms that he would not come out of prison alive. He will be the butt of inmate bullying and terror.

Is this what you want, Monica?

Somehow, in spite of everything you and Jeff have done to this boy, he has turned himself into a good kid; even his jailors love him.

Why can’t you?

You would stand by and see him thrown away, and destroyed or killed in prison?

What kind of mother are you?

Fathers Knows Beast 10/06/2012

http://wandervogeldiary.wordpress.com/2012/06/10/father-knows-beast/

Quote
From the time Jefferson Sanders entered Monica’s life, James’ life became a living hell. Sanders made it a special point to try and destroy James. He subjected James to a steady diet of cruelty and extreme physical and verbal abuse.
James has told us of the numerous times Sanders beat him with a switch fashioned from a tree branch, and of other times Sanders beat him with a leather belt and buckle, usually on his upper back and shoulders where it wouldn’t show at school. Sometimes the physical abuse was so severe that Monica would take some of the hits herself, just to give James time to crawl out a window and run away. Sanders would always pursue James, and after bringing him back home, he would subject James to verbal lashings that made the physical beatings seem small by comparison.

What kind of monster would systematically torment a child and keep that child in a constant state of physical and emotional deprivation? The same kind of beast who would bully, cajole, and coach his six-year-old son Hunter to appear on video saying that James had committed the rape of baby sister Neily Shea.

This is exactly what has happened.

James’ trial was to have commenced last month. But the prosecution found itself empty-handed of any evidence whatsoever that James had committed this abhorrent and unlikely crime, so they asked for a delay to come up with something to buttress their case. The judge, former assistant prosecutor Bobby Carter, granted the prosecution its delay.

The prosecution’s solution to its evidence problem was to produce a video recording of James’ six-year-old brother Hunter saying that James had done it. I can only imagine the prosecution received Jefferson Sanders’ full cooperation. (Even though Monica and he are now separated or divorced, Sanders still exerts a good deal of influence over his children by Monica, Hunter and Neily Shae.)

I hate to say it again about this case. By what I read from multiple sources, the prosecution has no evidence. The defense has plenty of evidence that shows that the state has no way in this world or the next to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

The abuse of the stepfather in this case proves the crime was done by someone else, if it even happened at all. Like in the Josh Young case, we have another extremely abuse man with a criminal record who should be prosecuted to the nth degree for physical abuse of a child under 18, felonius assult, criminal damaging or destruction of property, aggravated robbery and maybe even multiple accounts of domestic violence. Prindle's stepfather should be in prison for this alone. I wonder how the prisoners would treat him once they realize he is a child and a wife beater/manipulator. This creep must be taught a lesson.

The prosecutors also must be taught a lesson about wrongful prosecution of children. I cringe for the prosecution. They will havbe to sit there and watch each one of their witnesses get mangled by the defense consel. The prosecution has no evidence, but the defense will have plenty, even forcing certain people to the stand if they have to appeal all the way to the High Court that the refusal of the prosecution allowing certain witnesses confront the defendent is bad for them even if in the end the prosecutions does the equivilent of hanging themselves.

This child must be set free. However it may need an appellate judge to do so. The county and the state is unable to stop ling in denial. They have been linging in denial of the truth since 2010.

Phone Trouble 18/06/2012

http://wandervogeldiary.wordpress.com/2012/06/18/phone-trouble/

Quote
10:30 am  Here is the latest report from Memphis, a place who’s “justice” system obviously has its own way of working.

Last week the prosecution applied a full-court-press to get James to accept a plea deal calling for a 15-year sentence without the possibility of parole, and the addition of James’ name to a sex offender registry. The prosecution basically offered a “your-life-is-toast” deal and James, after praying and thinking upon it, decided to reject it. “I am not going to admit to something I didn’t do,” James told Stephen.

The prosecution (or somebody) is still applying pressure. This morning James was awakened at 4:00 am to be taken to a holding cell at the court building, even though his presence is not required in court today. This move appears designed to raise James’ stress level and place him incommunicado, cut off from Stephen’s steadying and reassuring influence.

The jail is also preventing the delivery to James of a new pair of prescription glasses that James will need to observe events in court and assist in his defense. This is dirty pool. Curiously, James’ attorney is doing nothing to help us rectify this situation.

Stephen has told me that the court is not allowing him to attend jury selection. This is another curious development. We will have no firsthand assurance that the jury selection process has been an honest one.

I hope that aroma I’m smelling is not rotten fish. (If I were living in Tennessee, I’d suspect my phone had been sabotaged.)

11:35 am  The phone guys just showed up, and we discovered that somebody has apparently entered my home and turned off the ringers on both telephones. This alarms me to the possibility that someone is sending me a message.

3:00 pm  Stephen has just called, exhausted. He has been walking all over town on his prosthetic leg trying to solve the eyeglasses thing.

He says jury selection began at 1:30 pm. It is hard to imagine they will finish up today, but they do do things differently in Memphis.

Before jury selection commenced, Stephen stopped by the courtroom to check it out, and he stumbled on some sort of hearing in which James Prindle was cuffed and jumpsuited and being questioned without his attorney present. The judge and the prosecutors were not present, either. Stephen was immediately kicked out by a uniformed cop who shut the door in Stephen’s face. We will not know until James calls what that was all about.

It looks like they desperately want to press James into a plea deal because they have no real evidence.
