Biannela Susana Was Busy Checking Celeb Gossip Websites While Her 2-Year-Old Son Was Dying on the Floor

As Biannela Susana's 2-year-old son was lying on the floor unconscious after being badly beaten by his 12-year-old half-brother, Susana was more interested in news about David and Victoria Beckham's sons than in the serious situation involving her sons. Investigators say Susana waited four hours to look up information about a hospital, but did find time to check out new music, do online banking, and read celeb gossip. The 2-year-old later died.

The case comes out of Jacksonville, the same area where last year another young mother pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of her child because the baby was interrupting her Farmville game.

The incident occurred in March. Twelve-year-old Cristian Fernandez, Susana's oldest son, whom she gave birth to when she herself was 12, is alleged to have beaten his 2-year-old half-brother to death. Not even a teen, he now faces first-degree murder charges.

Susana, however, could have changed the fate of both her sons if only she would have called for immediate medical help. Investigators seized laptops from her home and found that Susana did an online search for phrases like "when someone gets knocked out" around 11 a.m. the day of the incident.

After about a half-hour of that, she got distracted and began looking at songs to download off an album called My Destiny. Meanwhile, 2-year-old son remained unconscious.

Then, according to News4Jax, she did some online banking for a bit. Then she apparently decided to do some research about child concussions.

Then she looked at celeb gossip websites. Apparently she had a particular interest that day in Pippa Middleton and the children of Posh and Becks. Susana also spent time on the TMobile website and looked for jewelry.

It was about four hours after her first search about a child being knocked out that she looked up St. Luke's Hospital, where she eventually took her son.

Doctors say there's a possibility the child could have survived if he had received immediate medical attention.

Susana has been charged with aggravated manslaughter and culpable negligence.

The proof of her negligence is right on her laptop and the prosecutor is basically saying that a 12 year-old was more culpable than she was.  This is insane and she needs to be disbarred.  This case is an obvious case that clearly shows that the mother was in fact guilty of her son's actions and her other son's death.   Clearly, if she sat idle after the older boy even struck the younger child, this shows that she has permitted the older child to discipline the younger child in the only manner he ever experienced himself.  Had his actions portrayed something that was not allowed within the home, she would not have even hesitated to call 911.  It almost appears that she gave the 12 year-old child the authority an adult companion would have.  A great deal of perversity encompassed the manner in which this child has been raised.    How could he possibly understood the difference between right and wrong.

To ignore the dept of the emotional and physical abuse this boy endured is beyond words.  He needs help, support, and deserves to be treated like the child he is.  This is so very sad.

What gets me is they are charging this child with first degree murder. They have the burden of proving he PLANNED to kill his brother and I have read everything I can find on this case and have yet to come across one single piece of evidence that proves he planned to hurt his brother, let alone kill him. There is a difference between losing your temper and hurting someone else as a result of that...and planning a murder in a cold and calculated manner.

I don't know what happened the day David sustained fatal injuries. I do know that the mother has consistently lied about injuries that child has gotten. Consistently lied. Why should we believe her now? How long did she leave those kids alone? All night?

How is a 12 year old child more culpable when the mother waited for what appears to be SIX hours before seeking treatment for little David? That wasn't the first time she made that child wait either. She did it when his leg was broken. She waited for two days.

This case isn't going to fly in front of a jury of 12 people. Trying this child in adult court is almost certainly going to result in an acquittal or a mistrial. Corey has made the mistake of her career and the best she can do is reverse the decision to try Cristian as an adult and cut her losses. Otherwise, she's going down with this ship and surely she sees that.

what I'm fearing about this case is that Angela knows she can't take this case to trial because of the reasons you have said. I think by now she knows if she wants to have some victory? on this case is making a deal. Any deal done in adult court for this child would only destroy his life I just hope Cristian's attorneys really care about him and don't let play that woman with this child's life.

About Cristian's mothe, well I think that by now we can say for sure that she lied and threw this kid under the bus! in the florida times union today they said there was no blood on the bookshelf!!!!The blood was on the bunk bed and carpet in the same room, Which matches her first story he fell off the bunk bed!!!!!  and She was not watching her child, so she blamed Cristian. As she searched the internet about when a person gets knocked out while little David was lying there dieing she also downloaded music and went on youtube. So maybe Cristian didn't do it after all.

I agree with everything your saying. Here is what bothers me terribly though. She is suppose to be doing the right thing here.  She can read, I am sure of this. What on earth did this woman miss?  We can see clearly what was going on here. The child that died has been abused and neglected since birth. The child accused has endured severe emotional and physical abuse.  Both have been traumatized with no intervention.  If, if, the older child stuck the younger child as accused of, it is because he suffers from post traumatic stress syndrome from the abuse he has endured.  If the child died of any other accident, like falling off the bunk bed? or whatever his mom is lying about, it again proves her neglect.  So what on earth did the prosecutor think she was dealing with when she learned about this case?  How on earth can we ignore all the abuse the older child has endured and come to the conclusion this child is completely culpable for his brother's death?  If he had a moment of temporary insanity, can we really say this would not happen to a child as abused as he?  Children Services was already called in.  They are not responsible in any manner for not intervening.

To ignore the abuse these children lived though is a crime in itself.  To charge a child as an adult with all the evidence there is showing the environment he lived in, is complete incompetency.  Why does this child have to suffer the public scrutiny, the many trips in/out of court, the trauma of being dealt with like he is not worthy of love, when he likely felt this way all his life? Why do the tax-payers have to pay for all the errors prosecutors make when they make such off-the wall decisions when dealing with children this young?  The proof was right in front of the prosecutor, yet she failed to make a wise decision. Why?  Children this young need protection not prosecution.  He and brother have been suffering a long time and an educated adult has the nerve to make him suffer more. Instead of calling a spade a spade.

You're absolutely right. Not only are they making Cristian culpable in his brother's death (which was likely an accident under a variety of circumstances), they are holding him accountable for:

1) His mother's neglect
2) His mother's inaction when it came to seeking medical attention for her son
3) DFS's failure to treat his and his siblings' trauma after the stepfather shot himself
4) DFS's failure to protect the children from a wide range of other abuses
5) Etc...etc....etc.......

If I could ask Angela Corey just one question, it would be....Why is Cristian being held accountable for all of the things I described in my previous post?

That's not rational and it isn't just. Maybe Angela thinks it is, but I have to keep repeating here that I highly doubt an entire jury would be able to arrive to that same conclusion. And it only takes one disagreeing with the rest for a mistrial.

It only takes one.
