January 14th, 1999 - Cristian Fernandez was born to 12 year old Bianella Marie Susana.
2001 (?) - "Mason said [Cristian] Fernandez was found naked and dirty wandering in a hotel parking lot when he was 2 years old. Since his guardian was arrested on charges of neglect and possession of drugs and his mother was only 14, both Fernandez and Susana were placed in foster care."
October 2010 - Cristian's stepfather committed suicide by shooting himself with a gun in front of the kids. This was after he had been reported for physical abuse of Cristian.

June 8th, 2011 - Cristian is arraigned in court for his first-degree murder charge. His attorney said he was competent, but wanted him examined by some other experts. He also said Cristian was being housed in isolation in the Duval County Jail for adults and that he would like to get him into the Duval Detention Center (for juveniles). Cristian waived his right to a speedy trial.
Prosecutor Mark Caliel requested a media gag order. "Further comments to the media, especially pertaining to the background of the defendand and the facts and circumstances of the case appear to be in violation of the rules of professional conduct," Caliel stated. "We have a concern that any comments being interpreted by a potential jury pool could inhibit our ability to fairly and adequately try this case."
