Pray. The glorious ruins of Detroit harbor a beast that treats its poor like its ruins. I only would go there to see the Lions on Thanksgiving. Other times... not unless I have body armor and a big gun.  |

So someone help me understand this. The court can uses snitches who lie, who are paid-off, bribed, and careless in their efforts to hang even an innocent person to help the police/prosecution gain an "illegal" conviction but a known hit man, who has been convicted of murders could not possible have been the real murderer? His word is no good? Why? Because they got the wrong guy, who happens to be a young kid!!! This is so disgusting. Why should this young man do time for something he did not do!!! This is so unfair!!!! So wrong!!!! |

This is the same thing I also think about in Joshua Young's case. In that case, all the clues are there to correctly solve the case. However the brain power is lacking in Louisville as it is in Detroit. |

So the real killer has stepped forward and is telling the state he killed the poor sap the kid is convicted of killing. Why is is taking so long to free this innocent kid. BTW... for your reading pleasure, I found this heartbreaking story from the Detroit area while reading crime stories on the web. The moral of the story is "there are no winners when people get killed". All that matters is the technicality. From article: "When Layne walked through the condo's front door, "she had blood on her hands, had some blood on her clothing," Officer David Curry said. DETROIT (AP) -- A Detroit hit man in prison for eight slayings has signed an extraordinary confession to four additional killings in a bid to persuade the Michigan appeals court to order his testimony and possibly free a young man who is locked up for murder.
The sworn affidavit by Vincent Smothers was filed last week by a lawyer for Davontae Sanford, who at age 15 pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Sanford, now 19, insists his own confession was false, and he has struggled to have his conviction thrown out.

A hit man with mob undertones should make a lot of waves with these cops, unless the underworld still has a few dirty cops. It may not be the golden age of Capone and Cagney, but... |
