Teens accused of murder seek separate trials

Two young boys, accused of shooting and killing a Kosciusko County man, now want separate trials. Attorneys for 15 year old Colt Lundy and 12 year old Paul Gingerich argued for individual trials at a hearing in a courtroom in Warsaw Thursday. The Prosecutor's office filed a motion to try the two boys in one trial. That's the motion that was argued in court.

Police say 15-year-old, Colt Lundy planned to kill his stepfather, Phillip Danner, at least 2 weeks before the shooting.  Police say, both boys fired 2 shots.

49-year-old, Phillip Danner, was killed, in his home, on April 20th.  A judge ruled the boys could be tried, in adult court, at a waiver hearing.

A status conference is set for June 3rd in the case.
