ajorgan@news-sentinel.com WARSAW - Two boys, ages 12 and 15, were waived to adult court in Kosciusko County in the shooting death of the older boy's stepfather.
Paul Gingerich, 12, and Colt Lundy, 15, appeared in court today. According to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office, the boys are suspected of each shooting Phillip Danner, 49, of Cromwell., on April 20. Danner's body was found the next day after the two boys and another 12-year-old were stopped by police in Peru, Ill., who reportedly found marijuana in the vehicle the boys were in.
According to authorities, the boys were on their way to Arizona to "sell T-shirts to drug people," a plan that Danner was going to break up.
The second 12-year-old's case is being handled separately because he is accused of being a lookout during the crime, but did not participate in shooting Danner.
