The police and prosecution have contended that some of the evidence supporting the theory that Jordan murdered Kenzie and her unborn baby is that only footprints belonging to Jordan and his sister Janessa were observed in the snow surrounding the property.

I challenge this claim for the following reasons:

First, Chris Brown left for work around 7am. His footprints should have been observed as he would have walked from the residence to his vehicle on the morning of the murders.

Second, tree trimmers were on the property at some point when they heard 4-year-old Adalynn crying. One of the tree trimmers described approaching Adalynn who alerted them at almost 10am on February 20th, 2009.

In the following article one of the tree trimmer's describes walking on the property to aid Adalynn who informed him of her mother's death:

http://www.vindy.com/news/2009/mar/25/11....rial/?newswatch

Chris Brown was at work. Houk’s 4-year-old daughter, Adalynn, was home alone when she found her mother’s body. She came to the door of the farmhouse crying, and alerted a tree-trimming crew that was working in the yard, said Steve Cable, owner of the tree service.

“I went over. I said, ‘What’s wrong?’” Cable testified. “She said her mommy’s dead. I said, ‘Are you sure she’s not sleeping?’ She said no, she’s dead.”

Cable said he tried to call the property owner to get permission to go inside but could not reach him. So he called 911.

State police got the call around 10 a.m., and were at the house by 10:13 a.m., said Trooper Harry Gustafson of the state police’s New Castle post.

Third, rescue personnel arrived on the scene. There is a photograph showing an ambulance and a man approaching the house.

This clearly shows that the claim that Jordan and Janessa's footprints were the only ones observed is erroneous and inaccurate. If their footprints were the only ones observed then it begs even more important questions about why the above footprints were absent from the scene.

Here is the video that Graceness posted on the original site that shows that other footprints, such as the tree trimmers, should have been found in the snow.

Did it not snow after Chris left for work, possibly covering his foot prints? And perhaps the tree trimmer was asked if he saw other footprints besides the children and the answer was no. Or perhaps forensics accounts for the tree trimmer's prints by doing an examination of his boots compared to prints (showing a match) and the only other footprints were of the two children.

According to weather it snowed after the kids went to school and before the tree trimmers, emergency response and police arrived.
Weather data shows  it snowed in Wampum at 6:47am, at 7:47am cloudy, at 8:47 am it snowed.

It snowed lightly twice on that morning. The snow could have covered up Chris's footprints but it would not have covered up the tree trimmers or anyone else who was on the property. If the prosecution has performed forensic analysis of footprints that will be evidence they will present at trial I would imagine. At the present time, the most I have seen mention of was the existence of only Jordan and Janessa's foot prints in the snow. Court documents say the following:

"As a result of the light covering of snow, it was observable that the only footprints were those of the Defendant and Janessa when they left for school at approximately 8:14 a.m. There were no other footprints or tire tracks of any person or vehicle that would have approached the residence during the time in which the killing could have occurred" (p. 42)

Why does it specifically say there were no other footprints at all? The tree trimmers were on that property up until the time the police were called onto the scene. It was Steve Cable who called them after Adalynn came to the door and alerted him that something was wrong with Kenzie. He approached the house, but he said he did not go in. However, you have a trooper who testified he did go in and could see Kenzie as soon as he opened the front door. So you have multiple people approaching the home and some of them even entering the home.

But none of these people's footprints are even mentioned. You merely have mention of Janessa and Jordan's.

I would further like to know if snow covered every single inch of the property. I wrote a thread on the snow fall on that morning here:

http://justice4juveniles.com/index.php?topic=38.0

It snowed at 6:47 a.m. and again at 8:47 a.m. But the problem is that we don't know exactly when Kenzie was murdered. If she was murdered after Jordan and Janessa left the home, but before the second snow fall then it is possible there was only a light dusting of snow on the ground. It is also possible that the second light snow covered up any prints left from a person who came and went at an earlier time.

Do you see?
